India!

The entire trip to India has indeed been the most exhausting one ever. Was flying back from Athens to Stockholm, in between had to transit at Berlin and slept overnight at the airport (on the hard metal bench of Berlin Schoenefeld..). Back to Stockholm, shared the bed with melissa and slept for 4 hrs, then started with the long trip back to singapore. It was so tiring because of the so many luggages to carry, and stopover at Bangkok was even more exhausting. Didn't get to sleep much on the plane, though the entire trip was about 18hours including transit.

And while i was so happy to be stepping onto the ground of this hot and humid island (and of course seeing kuma ^__^), I only had less than 5 hours to spend before taking the next flight to India. Went to crystal jade with kuma and had the xiaolongbao I have been craving for the WHOLE year... (and I was really satisfied XD) coffee and cake at the airport, and another 15 hours of flight awaits.. but i have to say that Jet Airways is the best among those i have taken on this route (well, Thai Airways and EasyJet and Ryanair might not be the best competitors), with great service and TV on demand =p Watched The Duchess and Vicky Cristina Barcelona on the way to Mumbai. Really nice. and the latter made me really really wanting to go back to Barcelona for the second time. Looking at the scenes, many of them not unfamiliar but with such a different feeling through the lens of someone else.

Anyway, I had to wait for about 8 hours in Mumbai before taking the next flight to Ahmedabad. The first thing to get used to is walking through the airport with curious gazes all the time. I guess the Europeans have been so used to Asian-looking people wandering in every corner of their cities; but a chinese-looking person walking on the street of India is still a very interesting subject. Started to cough and having fever probably due to the past 5 days without much proper sleep. And suddenly felt all alone-the surge of feelings almost made me burst into tears. Finally felt asleep on the chairs of the airport surround by many others.

So here I am, in the city of Ahmedabad looking for trends that somehow depict the future of this city and putting them together to construct a model for the city in the next 10, 20 or 50 years. Maybe not yet the time to comment on what I have learned during this workshop (since there is one more week to go) but i am for sure looking up to something exciting to happen in the next week.

And MOST importantly, I will be back on 17th!! ^________^ saturday saturday saturday!!
